Rechne von rechts nach links. Den Übertrag merkst du dir und zählst ihn beim nächsten Ergebnis dazu. 4 · 6 = 24. Schreibe 4, merke 2. 4 · 8 = 32, 32 + 2 = 34. Schreibe 4, merke 3. 4 · 3 = 12, 12 + 3 = 15. Schreibe 15.
Mit zweistelliger Zahl
243 · 3 = 729. Die 3 steht für 3 Zehner. Darum endet 729 unter der 3. 243 · 2 = 486. Es endet unter der 2. Addiere die beiden Teilprodukte.
Überschlag
7776 liegt nah bei 7200. Das Ergebnis passt. Liegt es weit weg? Dann rechne noch einmal.

Mal 10: Jede Ziffer rückt eine Stelle nach links. Mal 100: zwei Stellen.
